Specific Sekers products can be used in healthcare, which includes projects for hospitals, clinics, Interim-care facilities, age-care homes and children-care homes. We have met the demands of the fire protection required and hygiene finishing treatments. Colour and design can be used to really stimulate, amuse or give calming qualities to rooms and areas so it enhances peoples experiences during what can be very distressing times.

  • Use colour & design to create environments that make people intrinsically feel good.  
  • Flame retardant requirements in the UK are Upholstery Crib 5, Curtains and blinds BS5867 Part 2: 1980 Type B.
  • We would also recommend using severe contract use fabrics for upholstery with a minimum of 50,000 martindales and pilling 5. The faux leathers are also a great product as they can be wiped down.
  • In areas were required we also have waterproof and urine resistant products for upholstery.

  • We do not have any stocked printed or woven flame retardant fabrics for curtains, bedspreads, shower curtains and loose cover fabrics that are flame retardant to full contract specification that can be washed to thermal disinfection temperatures of 71 degrees – however these can be produced for you on large projects to ensure you get a fabric that creates the look you want with the bacterial-free qualities.
