At a trade show in Frankfurt this week and it was great to see in the trends hall for 2012/13 that colour and pattern is still going to be so strong, modern and fun.
The craft trend continued as well seeing craft look or hand made items being combined with industrial influences in luminous natural colours. This is a lovely homely look of mixed textures, colours and patterns in a contemporary style.
Also there was a lovely luxurious dark lux trend that was very mystical in feel using effortlessly rich and lustrous materials in blacks, greys, taupes, metals and soft metallic beiges - Mixing geometrics and textures....

We stayed in Roomers in Frankfurt which was a fun place to stay. The bar was a really busy happening bar serving great food and cocktails....

Stayed in Roomers this year in Frankfurt which we enjoyed while visiting a trade show this week. The rooms mixed blacks, dark aubergine, taupe and a tiny bit of white across mohair, velvet, lacquered surfaces, fur, soft metallic vinyl, subtle woven stripe curtains, metallic voile and painted walls....

I was in Abu Dhabi for New Year and the lighting at the Coldplay concert was amazing in colour and pattern. Followed by amazing fireworks. A really fun and inspiring start to the New Year ahead....

We stayed in the new Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi which was amazing. A lovely use of colours and textures throughout the hotel. The bar on the 62 floor is also a must for a cocktail and view right across Abu Dhabi!...
